Advanced Bounded Context Design With The Bounded Context Canvas

Thursday morning 10:00 - 12:00 CET (UTC+1)

Speakers

Nick Tune and Maxime Sanglan-Charlier

Description

The Bounded Context Canvas is a tool that helps us to collect and visualise the key elements of a Bounded Context’s design. By capturing all of this information in a single place, we can holistic review the entire design rather than being overly focused on specific design elements like size.

In this workshop, you will work through scenario-based activities in groups. Each scenario will provide the design of one or more Bounded Contexts as Bounded Context Canvases. In small groups, your challenge is to review the design by identifying the positive and negative design choices, and flagging up areas of the design that need further attention. You will also refine and create Bounded Context Canvases to fix some of the design problems you identify.

After this workshop, you will know how to visualise the design Bounded Contexts and you will know how to critique a design and explore alternative modelling choices.
